Merry Christmas from All at Windrush Alpacas

Jimenez Christmas LightsChristmas Day has arrived, a day to spend time with our loved ones, both human and four legged.  For us our family and many of our friends are spread across the world so you can bet the phone lines will be busy for most of the day.  Of course chores still need to be done and so our schedule will be pretty much as follows:

Get Up

Phone Relatives

Put Turkey in the Oven

Do Chores

Make more Phone calls

Have Dinner

Do Chores

Collapse in a heap!

The day will be a busy one but also a very enjoyable one, and we will take time to reflect on how lucky we are to have our friends, family and our wonderful collection of animals.

Darlene, our friend and neighbor stopped by yesterday afternoon and was telling us that she believes that at midnight on Christmas Eve all of the animals are able to speak just like humans.  Imagine if that was so, our ears would certainly be burning as the herd discussed the events of the day, and I am sure there would be at least one or two requests for more hay or beet pulp shreds.

Last night we took a drive out to see the Christmas lights at one of the local businesses in town.  Jimenez Custom Harvesting have been established in Clovis for many years and each Christmas they put up a beautiful display of Christmas lights on some of their custom harvest equipment.  My pictures don’t really give the display justice, but they do give you a general idea.

All of us here at Windrush Alpacas hope that you have a very Merry Christmas, and here’s hoping that you find something alpaca in your Christmas stocking (and for the very lucky ones that could be a couple of live alpacas!)
