We Bet Mom Never Got This for Mother’s Day!

Looking for a unique way to tell mom you love her? Spend time with her at Windrush Alpacas Open Farm Day, Saturday, May 13 between 10 am and 3 pm! Tell mom you want to see her smile! Alpacas always make people smile!

At the farm, you and mom will get to personally meet the owners and learn about the daily routine of raising these gentle, soft-fleeced animals. You will even have a chance to feed the alpacas, and if they are up to it, feel their fleece! Some may be newly shorn, others may still have their winter coats!

Bring mom into our Farm Store where we are sure you will find a ‘little something’ to brighten her day, or maybe a soon-to-be graduate, or a June bride and groom. Alpaca yarns are hypo-allergenic, as soft as cashmere and incredibly warm. You can never go wrong when you give a gift made from alpaca yarns.

May is a wonderful time to visit the farm. If you’ve been here before, come again! There is always something interesting to learn and see at Windrush Alpacas. Stop by anytime on Saturday, May 13 between 10 am and 3 pm!  Make sure your phone or camera is charged – our alpacas love to pose for pictures with you!

Windrush Alpacas farm is located just 1-1/4 miles south of Brady on CRM. Watch our Facebook page for updates http://www.facebook.com/WindrushAlpacas.

Mama – that’s not a Llama! Learn about Alpacas at Open Farm Day

Dolce and CinnamonTreat your mom on her weekend to a visit with the alpacas at Windrush Alpacas!

Our next Open Farm Day is on Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, May 9, 2015. Visiting the farm on this fun day is a great way to celebrate motherhood and family! Take our tour to meet our mama alpacas. We will introduce you to the alpacas, tell you a bit about their history and lineage, and explain to you how this soft, wooly animal is related to llamas and camels – but is definitely a different breed!

If the tour alone is not gift enough for your mom (because we know she’s pretty darn special), walk with her through our Farm Store where you will find luxurious, affordable gifts made with alpaca yarn. Indulge her in a lightweight scarf or wrap. Or treat her feet to soft-as-a-cloud pair of alpaca socks. If she’s a knitter – she will be in paradise with the selection of yarns!

Go over the top with a really unique gift by signing her up for our Adopt-a-Paca Program! For one year, your mom will have a special alpaca to call her own. She will receive an adoption certificate, a picture of her ‘baby’, periodic letters from her alpaca and more! And she doesn’t have to do a thing for this except to visit the farm when she would like to see her alpaca. Bet no one else will be giving her this kind of gift!

You don’t have to be a mom to come to Windrush Alpacas. Everyone is invited to the Open Farm Day Event! There is always something new to learn and see at the farm. Stop by anytime on Saturday, May 9 between 10 am and 3 pm! It’s a great way to spend a day with family and friends, be outdoors and become informed about this special animal.

It’s always free admission and free parking. We have refreshments to share with you too! Windrush Alpacas farm is located just 1-1/4 miles south of Brady on CRM. Watch our Facebook page for updates http://www.facebook.com/WindrushAlpacas.
